Visit of MIT World Peace University, Pune students at Phygital Mueseum, JCKIF Office

The IIT Jodhpur Technology Innovation and Start-up Center (TISC) operates as a Section-8 Company supported by IITJ and recognized by the Government of India as a Technology Business Incubator (TBI). In collaboration with MIT Pune, TISC conducts the National Academic Immersion Program in AI. Over 80 students from MIT Pune participated in a workshop and training session held at TISC, IIT Jodhpur. During their visit, Mr. Vignesh Mohan, CEO of TISC, accompanied the students to the Phygital Museum 'Dharohar' of the Jodhpur City Knowledge & Innovation Foundation on February 8th, 2024. Mr. Mohit Panwar, Assistant Program Manager at JCKIF, provided them with insights into various crafts of Jodhpur and their respective products. Furthermore, they were introduced to the e-commerce website kalaanubhav.in, where they could purchase these products. The students also learned about the role of Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) in enhancing the crafts sector.




JCKIF Showcased at Prometeo 2024, IIT Jodhpur, Technical and Entrepreneurial Festival

Prometeo 2024 marks the fourth installment of IIT Jodhpur's National Technical and Entrepreneurial Festival 19th January to 21st January 2024. Deriving its name and vision from the Greek fore-thinker “Prometheus”, who imparted the knowledge of technology and civilization to humanity, Prometeo aspires to elevate innovation, channeling creative ideas towards an enhanced impact at the forefront of progress. It features a dynamic blend of talks, workshops, and competitions that immerse participants in the vast world of emerging technology. In an age marked by formidable challenges confronting humanity, Prometeo aims to foster collaboration and nurture a community of innovators contributing to the world’s technological prowess to overcome, for its ultimate goal is to elevate, transform and conquer. Events included Robo Wars, Game Jam, Drone Racing, Business Darbaar, Robo Soccer, RC Plane Show, Tech Trivia, Wired IOT, BIZ Quiz, Pitch It. Ideathon and Innovation Challenge.

During the prometeo Jodhpur City Knowledge & Innovation Foundation showcased the handicraft & handloom products and demonstrated about the e –commerce platform kalaanubhav.in and also about how JCKIF is infusing technology in crafts to support livelihood of unorganized craft sector.



JCKIF Showcased at Industry Day 2024 at IIT Jodhpur

Industry Day 2024 was held at IIT Jodhpur on 1st and 2nd February, 2024. It was a fusion of innovation, collaboration, and future-forward thinking. From AI marvels to smart & sustainable city, from sensors to Fintech, from AR-VR and Metaverse to MedTech and Digital Healthcare, from Robotics and EV to Industry 4.0, from Clean Energy to Technologies for Sustainability, including an Innovative products/prototype exhibition by all academic units, departments, centers, schools, and interdisciplinary research programs. Moreover, industry-aligned project demonstrations, and over 100 poster displays on IIT Jodhpur-driven research projects elevated the experience. With over 60 industry experts sharing their insights. JCKIF Showcased at India International Science Festival at NCR Biotech Science Cluster, Faridabad

India International Science Festival (IISF) edition was the 9th IISF and was organised by the Department of Science & Technology, Ministry of Earth Sciences, Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, Department of Biotechnology, Department of Space, Department of Atomic Energy, Vijnana Bharati and Government of Haryana from 17th-20th January 2024. The festival was hosted by the Translational Health Science and Technology Institute (THSTI) at the NCR Biotech Science Cluster, Faridabad. The theme of IISF 2023 was “Science and Technology Driven Nav Bharat in Amritkal”

Dr. Jitendra Singh, Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Science & Technology, inaugurated the IISF2023 on 17th Jan 2024.


During the IISF, IIT Jodhpur and Section 8 companies, including JCKIF, TIH iHub Drishti, and TISC, jointly presented demonstrations and exhibited at NCR Biotech Science Cluster, Faridabad. JCKIF showcased the handicraft & handloom products and demonstrated about the e –commerce platform kalaanubhav.in and also about how JCKIF is infusing technology in crafts to support livelihood of unorganized craft sector.



Visit of staff of National Skill Development Corporation

Jodhpur City Knowledge and Innovation Foundation (JCKIF) and Indian Institute of Technology, Jodhpur (IITJ) are jointly implementing the short-term skill development training programme under Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojna (PMKVY) 4.0. This is a free training and certification programme to enable Indian youth to take up industry-relevant skill training that will help them secure a better livelihood. Under this programme, four courses have been initiated viz. Electronics Machine Maintenance Executive (450 hours); Solar Panel Installation Technician (450 hours); Solar LED Technician (450 hours) and Electronic Hardware Assembly Operator (300 hours). The program was launched on 1st November, 2023. Currently there are around 100 students.

The National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) technical team members namely Ms Swati Singh, Deputy General Manager - Operations, and Mr Abhishek, technical team member visited IITJ and JCKIF on 4th November, 2023.

There was an interaction session at JCKIF office where Dr Ajay Agarwal Professor at IIT Jodhpur, Dr G S Toteja, CEO, JCKIF, Ms Deboshree Acharya Ganguly, CEP officer, IITJ, Mrs Mamta Sharma, Program Manager, JCKIF and Mr Gajraj Sharma, Technical Superintendent, EE Department, IITJ participated.

The team had discussion on ongoing activities, progress achieved and various challenges being faced. The team also visited the training center classes, labs and had an interaction with trainees and the trainers.
